About us
Agriturismos are very popular in Italy. There are about twenty thousand! In quality and luxury they range from simple bed and breakfasts to luxury wine estates.
But what exactly is an agriturismo?
An agriturismo (farmhouse in English) is primarily a farm and has a number of rooms and / or apartments available for guests. Most agriturismos produce wine or olive oil, but often also grain, cheese, honey or jam. Stay in rustic, often recently restored farmhouses on quiet and beautiful estates. Sometimes there is also a restaurant serving local specialities, often prepared with the farm's own products. A favorite with x Italians for a nice lunch with the family on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Car indispensable
In an agriturismo you will experience the authentic Italy amidst vineyards, olive groves, hills or mountains. For that reason, a car is essential if you choose to stay in an agriturismo in Italy. It happens frequently that the access road to the agriturismo is unpaved. But don't be scared of a bit of dirt road, since in the end it will all be worth it!
