Family agriturismo with large pool and paddling pool

A beautiful cypress-fringed track is the approach to this lovely family agriturismo: How much more Tuscan can things get? I immediately felt as if I had stepped into a Tuscan film set. This child-friendly agriturismo with a splendid large pool is quietly situated among vineyards. I had just passed through a tiny village complete with trattoria and alimentare (a small, authentic, local grocery shop). To me that is all part of a perfect holiday: fetching your freshly-baked bread in the morning. Lovely!

I was cordially welcomed by the owner, who then told me that she had taken over the property from her father. That was some time ago: she and her husband have run this agriturismo for over thirty years now, and they are still thankful that they had the opportunity to turn their love of hospitality into a career. I was treated to a very good espresso in their home, which is also situated on the site. Studying the old black-and-white photos adorning the walls of their home, I saw what the farm looked like in the past, complete with earlier generations that had lived and worked here. Interesting to see such a long tradition.

This child-friendly agriturismo offers lovely views of the vineyards around it. There is a beautiful large pool (15x8 metres) and a separate paddling pool. The swimming pool is completely enclosed  and lined with loungers and parasols for care-free hours of sunbathing. A nice hot outdoor shower and fun playground complete the picture. As this agriturismo mostly offers apartments for families, there is a good chance for your children to find a playmate. Spending a day at the beach is an option too: you’ll find a beautiful sandy beach only an hour’s drive away.   

Central location in Tuscany

This agriturismo is very favourably situated for day trips to famous Tuscan cities. Pisa is only 55 km away, Lucca about 50, San Gimignano ca. 35, Volterra ca.40 and Firenze 65 km. As it’s only 10km to the nearest train station, one can also easily take a train to Florence. Close to the property (5-15km) are several restaurants and a supermarket.   

The apartments for families

This agriturismo has a total of nine spacious apartments. Most of these apartments have two or even three bedrooms. Ideal for families, therefore. They are pleasantly furnished in a rustic, authentic Tuscan style. Every apartment has its own terrace, where you can also enjoy your meals, for instance. Wifi is present everywhere, and some apartments also have air-conditioning. The premises are also equipped with a shared barbecue and washing machine.

A child-friendly, convivial, laid back agriturismo, favourably situated in relation to beaches and famous Tuscan cities. A lovely place for some real relaxation. The beautiful pool also invites one to ‘do nothing’ for a day (or two...). The children will have a great time too, with their holiday friends!
