Agriturismo in an authentic village in Piedmont

On the beautiful wine route from Alba to Barolo I discovered this lovely agriturismo. Although I had not previously announced my arrival I was warmly welcomed by the very hospitable owner and she immediately gave me a tour of the property.

The old farmhouse has been completely renovated and is situated in a beautiful location with breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards. Breakfast is served in the original cellar of the farmhouse and on the ground floor is an attractive reading room. The six rooms and the apartment are located on the upper floors.

The agriturismo itself does not have a restaurant but in the immediate vicinity, within walking distance, you will find 4. Piedmont, one of the most culinarily significant regions of Italy, offers a whole variety of restaurants. And in the small village, less than 300 metres from the farmhouse, are two restaurants and an enoteca (a nice place for good wine and delicious local cheese).

The rooms and the apartment

The agriturismo has 3 double rooms. One of these rooms has a private roof terrace and a panoramic bathroom with beautiful views over the hills. And there are three rooms for four people, with a double bed and two more beds in an open loft. The apartment has a living-room with kitchenette and sofa bed, one double bedroom and one single bedroom (max 5 people).

Breakfast and pool

Breakfast is served in the basement of the farmhouse with local meat-products and cheeses, organic fruit juice and homemade cake. From here you have a beautiful view of the vineyards and the garden with its panoramic swimming pool with sun loungers. The communal living room has a refrigerator, microwave, espresso machine and wine cabinet. Next to the farmhouse is a small playground (which does not belong to the agriturismo itself). It is possible to rent bicycles, including electric bicycles (handy uphill!) This allows you to cycle a part of the beautiful Barolo route, highly recommended!

In short

A lovely, welcoming agriturismo with comfortable rooms, close to a picturesque village, with four restaurants within walking distance. A property that certainly belongs in my selection.
