True Italian hospitality at this agriturismo in Tuscany
Seldom have I been so well received and rarely have I laughed so much when visiting an agriturismo. The hosts are two brothers-in-law who obviously enjoy what they are doing. Upon arrival, everyone is first warmly received with an espresso or a glass of wine in the bar of the agriturismo. The hosts also prepare the morning breakfast, which is served on the terrace overlooking the pool and the Tuscan hills. Twice a week they can be found in the kitchen preparing local Tuscan dishes for a communal dinner.
The owner told me that ten years ago when guests arrived the first question was about the pool. Five years later it was the air-conditioning and nowadays it's the wifi password. They want to make their guests feel at home, so of course, all three of these things are present in the agriturismo!
The property is located in a beautiful, quiet part of Tuscany, just 14km from the charming town of San Gimignano with its medieval towers. From the agriturismo you can also reach Volterra, Florence and Siena within an hour.
Rooms & Apartments
The agriturismo has 7 apartments, of which four have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The apartments are comfortably furnished and all have a private terrace with table and chairs. In addition, the agriturismo has four standard double bedrooms, located on the ground floor, and two superior double bedrooms with a sofa bed on the first floor of the main farmhouse. All rooms have a warm interior, a minibar and a bathroom with Philippe Starck sanitaryware. All apartments and rooms have air conditioning and satellite TV.
Panoramic pool & shared dinners
In the well maintained garden of the agriturismo is a panoramic swimming pool with sunbeds and umbrellas. In summer the bar is open all day for a cappuccino, ice cream or a refreshing aperitif. But you can also enjoy a light lunch at the poolside. Twice a week there is a shared dinner in the restaurant of the agriturismo where you can taste Tuscan dishes and of course a local Chianti wine. Each morning they serve breakfast on the terrace by the pool, but if you prefer to have breakfast in the privacy of your apartment you can buy some fresh bread at the bar.
In short
This is a unique agriturismo in the heart of Tuscany, where you will be warmly welcomed, and the hosts will make you feel at home. Breakfast, lunch, a drink or an ice cream and twice a week dinner on the terrace with views over the Tuscan hills. Just perfect! Suitable for both families and couples.
