Family friendly agriturismo with nice pool, farm animals and a restaurant 

Rarely have I been so warmly received over the last years as in this agriturismo. The owner directly gave me a glass of white wine while I had to wait for her husband. Who welcomed me with a broad smile and proudly showed me around his agriturismo all afternoon. He is a born host and does everything possible to make their guests feel at home.

The agriturismo is surrounded by cornfields and has stunning views of Volterra and the surrounding Tuscan hills. They also have 400 olive trees for their own production of Tuscan olive oil and they make their own wine and honey.

Apartments

The agriturismo consists of 3 Tuscan farmhouses with a total of 13 apartments of different composition. There are apartments with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms and there is always a sofa bed in the living room, with open kitchen. All apartments have a private sitting area outside, but with limited privacy. The interiors are in Tuscan style and functional (no TV) and the kitchen includes a stove, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment.

Pool & child friendly

The pool has been enlarged this year and has a shallow end. From your lounger by the pool, you have beautiful views over the Tuscan hills. There is also a playground, a ping pong table and a football game and there are bikes that you can use. There are also several farm animals such as horses, donkeys, ponies and dogs.

Restaurant

The owner takes pleasure in having his guests discover Tuscan cuisine and three times a week, you are invited into his restaurant. On Saturday evening there is a buffet with all kinds of Tuscan food. A great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other. On Tuesday there is a pizza night (from the wood oven!) and on Thursday there is a pasta night. Children can make the fresh pasta themselves under the guidance of the host. The bread for the meals they bake in the afternoon in the wood oven.

For these evenings the guests from the 3 nearby agriturismos belonging to the owner are invited, so it is quite a happening. Outside on the covered terrace you eat together at long tables and once a week there is live music. During the dinners, there is a bouncy castle for the children in the garden. If you book an apartment for a week, dinner is free during these evenings; you only pay for your drinks. For stays of less than a week, you can join these dinners for a fee.
