Authentic farmhouse with apartments and panoramic pool

This agriturismo has the same owner as agriturismo number 95. Rarely am I welcomed more warmly than at this agriturismo. The owner and his wife do this work with love and they do everything possible to make their guests feel at home. Proudly, he showed me the 4 agriturismos he had renovated and furnished so as to be both authentic and functional.

The agriturismo is spectacularly situated on a hill and has wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside and a small village. You can walk between the cornfields to the small village. In the distance you can see Volterra. The agriturismo grows corn and in addition, the farmhouse produces Tuscan olive oil, white and red wine and honey.

Apartments

The agriturismo is an authentic farmhouse in Tuscan style with a total of 10 apartments of different composition. There are apartments with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. All apartments have a 2-seater sofa bed in the living room and an open kitchen with a stove, microwave and fridge freezer. The furnishing is Tuscan, functional (no TV) and colourful. The apartments on the ground floor have a terrace with a private sitting area and the apartments on the 1st floor (without balcony or terrace) have air conditioning.

Pool & child friendly

At the highest point of the hill, the agriturismo has a large swimming pool with sunbeds. From the pool you have a panoramic view of the Tuscan hills and Volterra. The agriturismo also has a playground, a ping pong table and a football game. To see the animals of the agriturismo such as donkeys, ponies, chickens and dogs you have to go to the nearby agriturismo 95. A nice walk of about 15 minutes between the cornfields.

Gezamenlijke diners en estaurant

Because the owner takes pleasure in letting his guests discover Tuscan cuisine, you are invited three times a week for dinner at agriturismo 95. In his restaurant with large terrace, pizza oven and barbecue, you eat at long tables on the terrace or at tables in the garden. During the evenings there is a children's bouncy castle in the garden. All the guests from the owner’s 4 agriturismos are invited to these evenings, so it's quite a happening. On one of the three evenings they also arrange live music.

On Saturday there is a buffet with all kinds of Tuscan appetizers and everyone can get to know each other. On Tuesday it’s pizza night (from the wood oven!) and on Thursday it’s pasta night. Together with host Barbera children are allowed to make the fresh pasta themselves. The bread for the meals they bake in the afternoon in the wood oven. If you book an apartment for a week then dinner is free during these evenings; you only pay for your drinks. For stays shorter than a week, you can join these dinners for a fee.
