A luxurious oasis of tranquility just 15 minutes from Lake Garda

Around Lake Garda it's not easy to find accommodation that meet my criteria of comfort, authenticity and Italian hospitality. But this charming Country House is fully compliant and I add it to my selection with pleasure. It is a large mansion with a walled garden and courtyard, typical of the farmhouses in this region. The owner is half Italian, half Spanish and both influences are reflected in the interior of the rooms and apartments.

The farmhouse is situated in the countryside in a tiny hamlet and for the last 50 meters you wind through the narrow streets. Because of the peace that prevails here, it's hard to imagine that in just 15 minutes you are in the bustle of Lake Garda. So it is an excellent basis to visit nice places such as Salò, Desenzano del Garda, Peschiera del Garda and Sirmione. But of course you can also just unwind in the spa, at the pool or on the terrace of the garden bar.

Rooms & Apartments

There are a total of 10 rooms which all have a completely different interior design. Some are classic with beautiful antique furniture and others are very colourful and contemporary. There are two triple rooms (for 3 people) and a family room with 2 single beds on an open loft. On the ground floor there are also 2 bilocale (one-bedroom) apartments, with a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room with open kitchen. Both apartments open on to the characteristic courtyard of the farmhouse where breakfast and dinner are served in good weather. All rooms have air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, minibar and a private car park.

Spa, Bio Pool & Restaurant

There is a spa with sauna and jacuzzi and in the garden there is a beautifully landscaped bio pool* with sunbeds. There is also a garden bar with an attractive verandah. If the weather does not allow you to sit outside, there is also a nice indoor lounge bar.  You can also taste local wines in the special wine bar in the old cellar. In good weather breakfast and dinner, with local organic products, is served in the courtyard and otherwise in the old wine cellar with a beautiful vaulted ceiling.

The restaurant of the agriturismo is open for lunch and dinner during the summer months. Wednesday is dedicated to vegan dinners, while other days the menu is a la carte with traditional cuisine. Special attention is devoted to organic and local products in the preparation of the food. In the Garden Bar (if it’s raining, in the restaurant) on request a light lunch is served. Besides a number of hot dishes, there is primarily a choice of cold dishes.

In this charming Country House you can truly relax and still be close to the bustle of Lake Garda. For those who want to enjoy delicious food, a spa and a lovely garden with bar and natural pool.  

* In a bio pool no chlorine is used and the water is filtered with natural products.
