Cozy winery near Florence  

Over the years I have visited a lot of agriturismos, but seldom have I come across such a special, charming one as this. Fantastic views, lovely furnished apartments, fine wines and nearby: Florence. Add to that the hospitality of the owners and the staff and you have a super agriturismo!

This beautiful wine farm is located east of Florence, amidst the vineyards on the rolling Tuscan hills. The wine cellar has existed for many years, but it was only years later that the owners converted the manor house into holiday homes. With the renovation and decoration of the apartments they have managed to retain perfectly the style of the old Tuscan farm life, and they have added some nice modern aspects.

In the nearest village (located just 1.5 km from the agriturismo) are several shops and restaurants. Florence is 15 kilometres from the farmhouse and is easily accessible by train. The train station is just a five-minute drive from the property. So the agriturismo is the perfect base for visiting Florence.

Swimming pool, welcome aperitif and breakfast

There is a stone barbecue for common use with tables and chairs. Among the olive trees is the beautiful swimming pool with sun terrace, chairs, umbrellas and sunbeds. The pool has a shallow end for children, so it is easy for them to get in and out of the water. In high season, to get your holiday off to a good start, you will be offered a free Italian breakfast the morning after arrival consisting of tea, coffee, milk, fruit juice, yoghurt, jam, rusks and croissants. This breakfast is prepared by the staff of the agriturismo. You can have breakfast in the garden or take it to your apartment. In low- and midseason you will find a basket with everything you need for an Italian breakfast in your apartment. For a fee, it is also possible to have breakfast for the rest of your stay, but it must be booked in advance. To give you the feeling of an Italian welcome, you can enjoy an aperitif in the apartment, also offered by the house and only in high season, with various appetizers and the agriturismo's own wine.

Wine and olive oil tastings, cooking classes, bike rental

The agriturismo produces quality wine, which is exported all over the world. For wine lovers, tours of the wine cellar are organized, 5 minutes from the agriturismo and for a fee, with wine and olive oil tastings accompanied by a platter of cold cuts and cheeses. Highly recommended! For those who want to learn how to make pasta or other Italian recipes, cooking courses are organized for a fee. While those who prefer to relax in the apartment and eat at home can have a private chef who will cook for you. This service is also for a fee.
If you like to have new experiences on holiday, there is the possibility of renting bikes, going on a horse ride or taking a pottery course just a few minutes from the agriturismo (about 10 minutes by car).

The apartments

The agriturismo has eight apartments, all tastefully decorated in warm colours and fine materials. Each apartment has a private terrace or patio with table, chairs and parasol or pergola. And each apartment has its own place at the pool with parasol and sunbed. The apartments have air conditioning, TV, and a kitchen with 4-burner stove, dishwasher and microwave. Some of the apartments have an oven.

In short

This is a real agriturismo! One of the most requested. A perfect base for exploring Florence and the Tuscan cities: Siena (80km), Arezzo (65km) and Lucca (90km). One of my favorite agriturismos!
