Modern apartments with hospitable family in Piedmont
An agriturismo on my site will have to meet many criteria, but above all I pay attention to hospitality. And I found it all here! Despite arriving unannounced, before our appointment, I was immediately shown around by the friendly owner. Together with his wife and daughters he lives on site and the entire family is always available so guests quickly feel at home.
The agriturismo is surrounded by its own vineyards, on the outskirts of a small village with only a few houses, not far from the famous town of Barolo. This little village has few houses, but there is a good restaurant within 100 metres! Here they prepare the traditional Piedmontese cuisine and guests of the agriturismo are happy to try it!.
The surroundings of Barolo are characterized by hills and vineyards. How could it be otherwise, the Langhe region in Piedmont produces one of the most famous wines in Italy. There are many vineyards in the vicinity where you can taste and buy the Barolo wine. The owner will be happy to give you suggestions where to go. All around the agriturismo you can enjoy walking and cycling in the vineyards. Alba, the capital of the truffle, is fifteen minutes by car from the property and beautiful Asti is approximately half an hour from here.
Apartments & pool
In total the agriturismo has seven apartments spread over two houses built with sustainability in mind. For example, many natural materials have been used as well as solar panels. All apartments have a living room with open kitchen and two bedrooms. The interior is warm and homely with warm colours, and the apartments have large windows with views over the hills, vineyards and mountains. All apartments have a private terrace with table and chairs. And between the two houses is a large covered terrace, which can be used by guests for drinks or meals together. In the garden there is a swimming pool, solarium (with artificial turf) with chairs and sunbeds, a shared BBQ area and a pergola with a long table. Shared dinners are organised on request
In short
An agriturismo amid vineyards in the beautiful hills around Barolo, with modern apartments and a particularly hospitable family.
