Winery with lots of sports facilities in the heart of Tuscany 

This agriturismo is situated in the heart of the Chianti-region in Tuscany, between Siena and Florence. My first visit was in the autumn, just after the grape harvest. In spite of the busy season, the agriturismo was in fine shape, everything was taken care of piccobello. This goes for the apartments, but also the swimming pool, garden, and all of the sports and play facilities. Imagine, the history of this wine farm dates back to the 14th century! I was given an extensive tour of the impressive wine cellar. The proud owner gives these tours also to his guests, and of course the tour finishes with a wine tasting!

Plenty of facilities

Neither you nor your children stand a chance of getting bored at this agriturismo. You can for instance chill out in the large swimming pool (20x8 metres). The pool has a shallow end and gradually deepens towards the other end. If you love sports and like a good workout on your holiday, there are many facilities for you to choose from: a gym, for instance, a tennis court (rackets and balls available at the agriturismo) a football and a volleyball field. Or hire mountain bikes from the property and discover the beautiful surroundings by bike. Children can have fun on the trampoline and swings or play table tennis and table football in an area shaded from the sun near the apartments. An ideal place for children to hang out. The agriturismo also organises special activities (at an additional cost), like wine tastings, cooking workshops and weekly communal meals.

In the heart of the Chianti region


If you stay at this agriturismo, you are close to some of the highlights that Tuscany has in store: Siena 45 km, Florence 40 km and San Gimignano 25 km. And near the agriturismo is a small village with a trattoria. Guests often like to walk to the village: a beautiful uphill route past cypress and olive trees. After a day spent touring the Tuscan hills or sauntering through ancient towns, isn’t it great to return to the agriturismo for a refreshing plunge in the pool or a good glass of wine on your own terrace?

The apartments and the villa

This agriturismo has 6 apartments, 3 of them with 2 bedrooms, and 3 with 1 bedroom. In addition, there is a villa with 4 bedrooms. The apartments as well as the villa have their own terrace with table, chairs and a parasol. The apartments and the villa have been decorated and furnished with care and attention, in a classical Tuscan style. All the apartments are provided with wifi, airco, satellite TV, locker, microwave oven and a dishwasher.

Beautiful, well-maintained wine farm in the heart of Tuscany, with comfortable apartments and plenty of facilities for young and old. Children will not easily get bored here! While they are playing, parents can enjoy the view, the wines of the agriturismo, and the tranquil surroundings.
