Beautifully situated country house with sea views

Always on the look-out for beautiful, but also special accommodation, I came across this charming country house with sea views and in the distance a view of Isola d'Elba. The nice thing is that in addition to suites they have seven luxury lodge tents. I was immediately excited! Owner Anne told me how they managed to rebuild this dilapidated family home a few years ago. It is a beautiful house with an interesting family history and everywhere there are enlarged classic photos of her family members on the wall. Very special!

From the garden of the country house and from the pool you can see the sea in the distance. On the other side of the field you look out on a beautiful medieval town. The house is on a hill, surrounded by olive groves, just 10 minutes drive from the sea. Seaside resorts like Follonica, Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala are all located fifteen minutes to half an hour away. There are beautiful sandy beaches there. Piombino, where the boat leaves for Elba, is only 40 km from the agriturismo. Nice for a day trip!

Breakfast 

At the country house is a lovely breakfast room where breakfast is served for guests of the rooms and suites. If you stay in a lodge, your breakfast will be brought to you in a picnic basket. Then you can enjoy your breakfast overlooking the sea or medieval village. The pool is not very big but has good views and is also available for guests of the lodge tents.

The suites

There are 7 luxury suites in the main building and an eighth  in the outbuildings, next to the main building, Some suites have a private terrace. The suites are equipped with Wi-Fi, iPod docking station, satellite TV and air- conditioning.

The Safari-tents

The seven safari-tents are slightly away from the main building, surrounded by olive groves and they offer views of the sea and of a medieval castle. Each Safari-tent has its own terrace and consists of a living area, a double bed (not separated from the living area) and a bathroom with shower and toilet and hairdryer. The safaritents are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, coffee machine, kettle and wifi.

Whether you stay in a luxury suite or in one of the comfortable safari-tents, this country house is a lovely place to be and to enjoy the peace and the beautiful view. The Safari-tents are a must for those who want to try a different kind of accommodation amidst nature, but who love luxury.
